June 2014

Started June off with a visit to the ER.  While we were in the midst of packing out Payson scaled a cabinet and got a hold of my old pregnancy iron pills.  We weren't sure how many she got a hold of and after googling Iron overdose in kids we decided to play it safe and take her in. The only thing that would make her happy while we were there was watching the "I'm a Gummy Bear" song on you tube.

After many blood withdrawals she finally fell asleep.  She really was pitiful.   After a very long afternoon, thankfully she was fine.

Brian's graduation banquet was such a fun night.  We hadn't had that many nights out just the two of us since Tommy was born.  We ended up going with a group of friends prom style in a Limo.

The day of Brian's graduation.  I love this pic of our sweet girls!

This big moving truck is going to become a big memory I think for all of our children.  They have seen it more than most in their little lives.

Nothing more fun to our kids than an empty house to run around in.  That is until they have to help us clean it.

Seems like we were always moving on Sidney's Birthday for a couple of years.  Our big five year old.

She is always such a trooper though.  Sidney was and still is the most easiest going child we have.  Always trying to keep everyone happy, she has a quiet strength about her, not the easiest to win over but once you do she is fiercely loyal and the sweetest of the sweet.

We got all moved out of our house in Wetumpka and headed to Heath Springs for Father's Day weekend.  This is the only picture I have from that weekend for some reason.  We already had a house (that we had never seen in person) lined up in Fairfax, VA through one of Brian's future coworkers.  Our plan was to do a door to door.  Meaning our stuff would never go in storage and we would move straight into our new place after this weekend.

Well things didn't go as we had planned.  We showed up at our new house and it was not at all like the pictures Not only was it in bad shape but it was unsafe for us to even consider living in. We ended up being able to get a hold of our truck driver and our easy move turned into one of our most difficult. The one thing I remember from that night is just trying not to cry.  We were trying to be so positive for the kids and not freak them out.  We found a hotel room and after we finally got everyone to sleep Brian and I stayed up all night trying to figure out how we were going to get out of our lease.  Luckily we were able to get out of it  and come to find out the coworker who's lease we were taking over was going through a bad divorce.  We just got caught up in a bad situation.

That evening I called a realtor that we had previously spoken to and he helped us find the house we are in now after about 10 days in various hotels (our time at the Extended Stay will always make me laugh).  Later we found out that when I called our realtor he was heading into minor heart surgery but I sounded so upset that he couldn't not help me.  He didn't even normally handle rentals. Blessings even in the midst of all the crazy!

Once we found our house we still couldn't move in for another 2 weeks.  So we packed up and headed to Cherry Grove Beach for some much needed beach time.

When we got back we still had another couple of days of hotel living on Fort Belvior before we could move into our house.

To date it was our craziest June. Always an adventure!
