Laughs & Pictures

Yesterday was a great day. Sidney laughed out loud for the first time. Brian made some silly face at her and she thought it was the funniest thing ever. We also went and had pictures taken. I think since this is my second and I know how fast she will change I wanted to get some 3 month shots. Here are some of my favorites. Below is the only picture we were able to get of Carolyn and Sidney together. Even though Sidney isn't that happy I think it is cute.

Sleep

I don’t think that you truly appreciate a nights sleep until it is taken away from you by a cute little 10 pound angel. I am going on a little over 3 months of night wake ups. I know that it is going to pass and I will look back on these days of no rest and might actually miss them. But right now I would give anything for 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep. I moved Sidney from our room to her crib this weekend in hopes that it might aid in achieving my goal with no such luck. So here is to sending sleepy thoughts to my sweet little Sidney and hoping that sleep finds us soon.

I wanna dance Momma. (this means she doesn’t like what I have playing on the radio and she would like for me to change it)

This is how my car rides with Carolyn typically go. A play by play of whatever we are passing and of course we have become very opinionated about what is playing on the radio. Sometimes I feel like I am riding with her father. I like Country music. Maybe it is my Heath Springs roots. Carolyn is not a fan. She prefers rock, pop or her daddy’s favorite the blues. Today as I was hearing Momma for the umpteenth time it reminded me of this time last year. All Carolyn would really say was Ball and I was worried that she would never talk. I could not have been more wrong.

3 Months

It is hard to believe that Sidney is 3 months old today but at the same time it is hard to imagine her not being here. She is such a laid back baby here are some of things she is doing now.

• Cooing & Smiling all the time
• Never really fussy unless she is hungry or I eat cucumbers.
• Rolling from her tummy to back.
• Sleeping until about 3 most nights then eats and goes back to sleep. I cant wait for the day when I put both girls down to bed at 8 and they sleep till 8 the next morning. I can dream.
• Carolyn is her greatest entertainment. Sidney loves to watch whatever she is doing.
• Already loves music if she is sleepy we put her in her swing with Brian's Ipod and she is a happy girl.

She still has the McPherson feet.

Five Years

Five years ago today the huricane stayed away and we had the most perfect, beautiful, amazing, wonderful wedding. Thankfully our marriage has followed suit. Such a lucky woman am I.

Rella Shoes

Carolyn has always had a thing for shoes. From trying on Brian's boots to my heels that are now in the back of my closet. But while running errands today Carolyn fell in love. Silver ballet slippers that she exclaimed were Rella (Cinderella) Shoes Momma! I have never seen her clutch something as much and they have been on her feet ever since. Brian is in trouble.
