House Hunting

We have been in Germany one week so far today and this week has flown by. Brian passed his driving test on Monday and we got our car. Now I have to start studying so I can actually drive our car. They drive on the same side of the road as us but have some crazy traffic signs and a ton of round abouts etc.

Ever since we got our car we have been house hunting. We have encounter more language barriers than we anticipated. We thought that since the listings were on an American housing list that most land lords would speak English but we have found this to be the opposite.

We went to look at a house today and the land lords that didn't speak a lick of English invited us to coffee at their house. Their daughter helped them show the house because she spoke minimal english but she didn't join us for the coffee. So we walked over to their house and they were just as nice as they could be. Even gave the girls ice cream. But we couldn't really communicate at all. Other than smiling and hand gestures. What is funny to me is that Carolyn hasn't noticed the language difference. She just keeps talking to everyone like they understand her.

I really don't have any pictures to share now. We are hoping to do something fun tomorrow so I will take some then. So ready to find our house and get settled so we can start enjoying the area we are in.
